10AM Crafts & Games with Amelia in the Classroom $30 ages 4-9
Starting the school day out in a fun, laidback way while still getting some learning in, this class will include games, sensory crafts and hands-on projects, some music, and more.

10AM Painting with Britney in the Gym $38 all ages
Let’s take our painting to the next level. Step by step instructions, introducing how to use our art supplies, how to hold brushes and one stroke painting styles. Fee includes a student brush set and palette that, along with their weekly paintings, will go home with the students at the end of the term. (Parent assistance will be required if your child has a difficult time listening)


11AM Messy Art with Britney in the Gym $38 all ages
Let’s get messy, this is an art projects class. We will try different styles of messy art. Working as a group and as an individual. Paint pouring, spray paint and 3D style art. *Parent assistance with student clean up at the end of class is required--your kid will leave messy!


12PM Itty Bitty Reading with Amelia in the Gym $30 ages 3-6
An intro to reading for the Hub’s littlest students.  We’ll go over phonics, play letter and word games, and more for 30 minutes, followed by a 20-minute littles-only gym free-play.  Flexible for kids who are just starting out and for others who have some of the basics down.


1:30PM LEGO Math with Grace in the Classroom $30 ages 5-8
This class is an exciting, hands-on way to make numbers and problem-solving come to life! It combines creativity with logic, helping kids grasp mathematical concepts through play.  Students will work with LEGO to learn counting, equations, addition, subtraction, patterns, and place value.

1:30PM Yoga & Dance with Trinity in the Gym $33 ages 3-6
This class is a playful, movement-based class designed to support early childhood development through a blend of gentle yoga poses, creative dance, and imaginative play.

​10AM 3D Printing Minecraft Character with Krista in the Classroom $45 ages 7+
Come learn the basics of 3d modeling. Together we will be building at least 4 (hopefully 5) 3d printed models of various Minecraft animals. Each class we will be modeling different Minecraft creatures using Tinkercad and print them on our 3d printers. It is helpful for kids to know how to use a mouse for this class, but not a requirement.


10AM Monster Crafts with Britney in the Gym $40 ages 5-10
Every week we will create a different style monster out of basic craft supplies. Great for the younger artist.


11AM Maker Lab Bundle with Krista in the Classroom $45 ages 8+
Join us for a variety of STEAM projects. Each week we will be making a different project to show off the items available in our STEAM library.


11AM Drawing & Sketching with Britney in the Gym $40 ages 8+
Learn sketching techniques, how to blend and working on taking your drawing to the next level.  Working on body proportions, faces and still life just to name a few.  Fee includes a beginner sketch pencil set.


12PM Art History I:  Prehistory-Ancient History with Grace in the Classroom $45 ages 11+
This class is a journey through time, exploring famous artists, iconic masterpieces, and the evolution of artistic styles—all in a fun and engaging way!  Every week students will learn about a different time period and create a replica inspired by a work from that period.
Prehistoric, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, & Ancient East Asian.



12PM Art History I:  Prehistory-Ancient History with Britney in the Gym $45 ages 5-10
Let’s dive into art history with Ms Britney. Each week we will learn about a civilization and how they created and used art in their everyday lives and how we can take their art and recreate it in our own life in the present world.
Prehistoric, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, & Ancient East Asian.



130PM Pumpkin Drop with Krista in the Classroom $40 ages 11+
Learn the physics of protecting a pumpkin from breaking when dropped from an 11-story building!  This class tackles a popular physics and engineering challenge that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and an understanding of forces, materials, and impact absorption.

Pumpkin Drop is a K-12 Outreach Event Hosted by WVU’s Mechanical Materials and Aerospace Engineering Department.  This event takes place in mid to late October.

230PM Lord of the Rings Wooden Project with Krista in the Classroom $50 ages 10+
Each week we will be discussing a portion of The Fellowship of the Ring (each week participants will be encouraged to listen or read a portion of the book prior to class) while we work on an intricate laser cut project.

230PM Science Lab Bundle with Grace in the Gym $45 all ages
Join us for a variety of science projects. Each week we will be making a different project to show off the items available in our STEAM library. There will be slime, density jars, chemical reaction volcanos, paper chromatography, static electricity, and jousting cars.



Thursday Classes
Middle School ages



​​10AM WV Timeline History with Grace in the Classroom $40 ages 10+
This is a class that teaches WV history from the Moundbuilders till the 21st Century.  Students will learn about the very first humans who lived in WV, Frontier Expansion, John Brown and the War for Statehood, Hatfields & McCoys, The Mine Wars, and the diaspora known as Hillbilly Highway.  Students will watch informational videos related to that week’s topic and events and do various activities to bring that event to life.  These include a mock archeological dig, a reader’s theatre, an escape room, and a classroom reenactment.
THIS CLASS IS NOT A PREP CLASS FOR THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE



11AM Care and Feeding of 3D Printers with Jody in the Classroom $45 ages 10+
In this intro to 3D printing students will create 3-4 take home finished projects.  This intro class teaches the how behind 3D printing.  Students will do a benchy or calibration cube for troubleshooting, a premade little guy to learn the software, and one thing they design themselves.


11AM Middle School Art Projects with Britney in the Gym $45 ages 11+
Complete 3 or more art projects including a Wyland Colored Pencil Drawing, a mixed-media self-portrait collage, and a miniature graffiti fence.  Students will learn artistic techniques and have the opportunity to show off their creativity.


12PM Philosophy with Jody in the Classroom $40 ages 11+
This class will introduce students to big questions about life, knowledge, ethics, and existence—encouraging them to think critically and develop reasoned arguments.  We’ll start with the Trolley Problem and go from there.


12PM Microwave Candy Making with Grace in the Library $45 ages 8+
This class is a fun and interactive session where participants learn how to make delicious candies using just a microwave and simple ingredients. It’s perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to create sweet treats without the hassle of stovetop cooking or specialized equipment.  Students will learn techniques like melting, tempering chocolate, creating syrups, and managing crystallization.

1:30PM Drama 101 with Cheri in the Classroom $40 ages 10+
In this class students will learn components of theatre including Pantomime, Voice, Improvisation, Characterization, Production, and Theatre History. Basic acting concepts will be introduced through entertaining theatre games developed by renowned Theatre Educator Viola Spolin.


1:30PM Lego Physics with Krista in the Library $45 ages 11+
Come explore the world of physics through Legos. We will explore Newton’s Laws and other physics principles with hands-on experiments using our favorite building blocks.


2:30PM Bob Ross Paint-Along with Krista in the Classroom $50 ages 11+
Come join us in painting 6 iconic Bob Ross paintings! Each week we will take on another of Bob Ross’s classic paintings.


2:30PM IEW Structure and Style + Fix It! Grammar with Grace in the Library $40 ages 11+
(There are $54 material fees that include the student books for the entire academic year.)

Grace spent the summer becoming a Trained IEW Instructor!  Let her take over teaching writing to your kiddos for you this year.  You can learn more about the IEW curriculum and methods here:  https://iew.com/about/our-methods/  This class is designed as a core subject, not an elective.  It will be more demanding than Hub classes have been in the past.  Additionally, your student will have homework that they should be able to independently do.

Grace will be offering this class in this time spot for this rate for all 4 terms.  The Binder and Student Packet & the Student Grammar Book need only be purchased once for the academic year.  Students from the previous term will have sign up priority should they wish to continue.

​10AM Folktales with Jason in the Classroom $40 ages 4-7


​10AM Rhythm Games with Rachel in the Gym $35 all ages

Get the wiggles out in the gym with Ms Rachel as she guides students through different rhythm games.  Students will develop their skills in body awareness, timing, coordination, and musical awareness.


11AM Animal Ecology with Amelia in the Classroom $45 ages 6-10
This class is all for learning about the natural world in a fun and hands-on way! Projects will include making seed bombs, learning about mountains and volcanoes, making art with nature, dissecting owl pellets and learning about animal adaptations, and more.

11AM Kidfit with Jason in the Gym $35 ages 4-7
This active class will be a mix of learning exercise movements like jumping jacks, bear crawl, squatting a PVC pipe “barbell” and foam “weights” and lifting light soft-sand kettlebell.  There will also be some fun, classic physical games like duck, duck, goose, hot potato, and relay races, as well as time for free play.


12PM Robots with Jody in the Classroom $45 ages 8+
Dive into the world of robots.  Hydraulics, micro bits, and programming oh my!  Beginners welcome.


130PM LEGO League Challenge Competition Team in the Classroom with Jody and Grace 2 term class (fall 1 & 2) 2 additional meets TBD outside of class hours $100 11-13
Build a robot and compete in the First Lego League Challenge!  Learn more about this year’s challenge here:  https://www.firstlegoleague.org/about 

​This class REQUIRES enthusiastic participation from the student.  If your student is not actively participating, they will be removed from this class.

Members of this team will have the opportunity to participate in a LEGO League Scrimmage traditionally hosted in Morgantown and the State LEGO League Challenge traditionally hosted at Fairmont State University.  These events take place in late November-December.  We will post more information as dates solidify.


230PM LEGO League Noncompetition Team in the Classroom with Jody and Grace $40 11+
Students will learn the basics of Lego robots.  They will be grouped into 2 teams who will each design and build a robot that will run a course, do tasks and troubleshoot.  At the end of 6 weeks these teams will compete against each other at the hub.
